Description
Offered for sale a set of polarising hardware for an antique brass microscope, comprising:
– sub-stage nicol prism polariser with rotation feature and 33mm fitment
– nicol prism analyser with rotation and RMS male/female thread fitment
– nicol prism analyser with rotation and RMS male/female thread fitment
I’ve tested the nicol prisms and extinction is achieved very easily on rotation, with the prisms in good condition. The prisms are fairly clean and as is often the case with antique optical equipment, a further clean may be beneficial.
