A cased pair of Mallock-Armstrong Ear Defenders. These were widely used during WWI to protect against the deafening sound of gun fire and explosions. The purpose of little hooked rod was to remove accumulated ear wax. Length of case: 5 cm. Thanks to Laurie Slater for the Defenders advertisement. $125.00
A pair of “Antiphones”. These sound blockers were used in a medical setting rather than to block sound in an industrial, transportation, or domestic setting. Likely German in origin and first-quarter of 20th century in date. SOLD
