Description

Rare Capuchin brass sundial with, when you return the dial, a decor of a monk with his glasses and his beard.

Sundial engraved one face.

In its original leather case.

Dimensions (case) : 9,7 cm high x 7,5 cm width

France circa 1620.

Nota : A similar brass Capuchin dial type (but not with a monk decor), dated 1573, is repertoried in the Sciences Museum in Geneva.
