The chapter ring is engraved with an hour scale of twice twelve hours with half-hour subdivisions on one upper surface, the other side with European cities and their latitudes. The equinoctial ring with a sliding suspension loop is on one side engraved with a 0-90 degree latitude scale with1 degree subdivisions. It contains the makers name and on both sides also a list of European cities and their latitudes. The bridge has a sliding pinhole sight, the calendar scale engraved on one side, the scale on the reverse with engraved sigils for the houses of the Zodiac. The Zodiac scale is based on the Gregorian calendar, which came in effect for this part of Germany around 1700. Diameter: 7,2 cm.
