Description
Chambre Claire Universelle by P. BERVILLE. Also known as a Camera Lucida. This instrument was used a drawing aid, enabling artists to draw perfect perspectives from nature. Finely brass with 3 extensions, the last having a rack and pinion focusing mechanism. Twelve small lenses of varying focal length (6 concave and 6 convex) each engraved with a different number. Green velvet and in the original wooden case, signed P. B case 29 X 6 X 4 cm
