Comprises 13 instruments including large and small dividers with complete matching accessories, small bow-compass, large (13.5 cm) hand-engraved protractor, ebony and ivory mounted pen, and small ivory rule. Labeled “RIBOUT, Fabricant d’instrumens de Mathematiques, Rue des Noyers Nο 15, a PARIS”

Ribout was recorded working on Rue des Noyers in the 1815 Almanach Du Commerce de Paris under “merchands et fabricans d’instrumens de mathematiques et physique” (pg. 226)

A fine and complete set of early French drawing instruments.

Condition: nearly perfect, some tears to the green velvet and scratches on the underside of the box.
