Complete Set of French Trepanning Instruments, ca. 1810 – 1850, France, all instruments are original (nothing missing and nothing replaced!); containing 1 drill trephine with ebony handle, including 5 drill bits (3 crowns and 2 nibs), 4 hand held instruments with ebony handles, 2 elevators, 2 hand drills; signature on the drill trephine “Paris”; some instruments getting a lttle bit rusty, red velvet lined wooden case (13 8 3/4 x 1 3/4″); all instruments and the case with brass carrying handle are in good condition.

My hometown is Kiel, an important German port and maritime centre on the Baltic Coast. Being a lecturer in economics, in 1977 I started dealing in nautical antiques as a side line. Later on, my interests, and the stock, changed to microscopes and medical items.
