Description

Rare dividers in gilted brass signed by the German reknown maker “Thomas Pregell Fec.” on one side and dated “Anno 1627” “in Zwikau” on the other side.

Rare reserve system on each part (see photo 09).

Dimensions :

– 17,2 cm long

– 4,3 cm width

– 0,8 cm thickness (which is quite important due to the fact that it could insert some other tools inside)

– 346 grams weight (quite heavy)

Nota : German maker Thomas Pregell instruments are very rare. There is an astrolabe signed by him and dated 1629 which has been sold at the Rotschild sale in Christies on the 24rth of June 1999 (lot 175).
