Early 20th-Century Life-Size Phrenological Bank

Early 20th-Century Life-Size Phrenological Bank

Height: 29cm approx.

Country of manufacture

Categories: Medicine, Quack Medicine

This slightly larger than life-size paper-mache bank was likely  a savings bank’s gift  to its most valued customers, or to those opening new accounts,  during the very early decades of the last century. It is noteworthy that the bank would choose a phrenology head as the subject of their  little savings bank for the home. It would suggest that  phrenology continued to hold sway   on the imagination of people in the USA at this late date. Condition: evidence of use but overall in quite good condition–see images.
