A large Dollond brass telescope on cabriole stand, circa 1800, with fitted case.
Fully extended the telescope measures 58″ (147 cms) long: height 23″ (58 cms) with a main lens of 2.75″ (70 mm).
The telescope gives a clear, sharp image with a power of 40x. The case holds an astronomical eyepiece which gives a higher power.
The telescope is in very good condition but has been re-lacquered. The case also has some restoration work.
