Terrestrial table globe with a diameter of 16 cm. held in an attractive wooden stand with a full meridian, paper horizon ring on four wooden arcs on a turned wooden tripod-base holding a compass rose at the bottom. The total height measuring 46 cm. Consisting of 12 paper gores and 2 polar caps, The continents coloured in a warm yellow shade, with some countries coloured in outline. The seas coloured in an attractive blue/green and also showing the major currents in the oceans in a slightly darker shade. Published in 1869 by Verlag von Dietrich Reimer in Berlin with all names printed in German. (Some slight wear on the globe and horizon ring, a dent in the top half of the Indian Ocean which however still holds all of the print. An attractive copy in an eye-catching stand with a still operational compass.)
