Description
A splendid miniature Italian spyglass very finely turned in wood and with a early shape from the early 18th century.
The wood is certainly a bright fruit wood with a great patina.
The optical configuration is not exactly Galilean but combined a concave eyepiece lens with a plano-convex objective lens.
The tiny (3,7cm lenght closed and 2,8cm diameter) telescope is preserved in its original wooden case.
A little lack of wood and some cracks at the case but genuine and fine original condition for this early miniature spyglass.
