Description

A fine Beck’s parallel plate compressor (compressorium) for slide making and specimen preparation.

Fully functional with 1 mil threaded locking screw, twin blued steel clips, tension adjusting knurled nut, hinged parallel plates and observation window for cover slip alignment. Some minor surface scratching but internally rarely (if ever) used. Measures 4 x 1 1/2 inches (10 x 3.75 cm.). Bright brass lacquer. From Beck’s treatise of 1860.
