A fine c1870 mechanical laryngeal lancet with checkered bone handle. Mechanism in perfect working order. Unmarked. Based on the form of the handle our guess is that it is English or American. Laryngeal lancets of similar form are shown in the Tiemann 1879 Armamentarium, pp. 80-81, among them Schroeter’s and Mackenzie’s.
