A fine Cary/Gould microscope, case mounted with large storage compartment below.
Accessories include 4 objectives (all lenses intact), stage forceps, bullseye, live box, 3 numbered bone sliders, single sided mirror and excellent rack and pinion focusing. Unsigned but of the highest quality including the Honduran flame mahogany case with brass ferrule to the lid. The case measures 8 x 5 x 4 inches deep with lift out top tray and sample storage below. Erected, the microscope stands 13 inches tall. c.1820 of typical form for the era. Casework is flawless. Have never seen another like it.
