THE COMPASS HAS A 360 DEG. OUTER CIRCLE DIVIDED IN 30′ MINUTE DIVISIONS. EAST & WEST ARE TRANSPOSED WITH THIS IN MIND & THE LARGE COMPASS SEEMS TO RELATE TO MINING. THE 6″ INCH HORIZONTAL CIRCLE DIVIDED IN 30 MINUTE DIVISIONS WITH ONE VERNIER READING TO 1 MINUTE OF ARC, THE OPOSITE SIDE HAVING  ARROW & LINE. THE COMPASS IS ROTATED BY INTERNAL RACKWORK, THE VERTICAL HALF CIRCLE IS DIVIDED IN TWO 90 DEG. QUADRANTS. THE TELESCOPE IS 11″ INCHES IN LENGTH GIVING AN INVERTED IMAGE, THE SPIDERS WEB CROSS HAIRS ARE INTACT, IT FITS IN TWO Y’ MOUNTS ON THE VERY ATTRACTIVE CRADLE.
