Description
A fine flea/flower compound, hand held naturalist’s microscope with a tapering bone handle. Dual magnification (5 and 10X) thanks to a pair of lenses in knurled upper mount. Center horizontal pin holding the forceps is reversible to facilitate both lens powers and operates by friction fit ( as do the forceps in a vertical direction). You can see in the photo (strictly by chance) the focal length of the lenses (1-2 cm.). The forceps are original with blued tips. The bone handle is flawless and elegant with a tiny machined tip. The roping/machining of the lens housing is superb. Clever design and great optics (lenses a little dusty). No case. 12 cm. long.
