A fine, brass Wilson-type screw barrel microscope with turned hardwood handle (replaced), 6 numbered objectives (all beads intact-4 with numbered caps), 4 bone sliders (2 small without samples, 2 large with samples) , brass aquatic slider and glass tube in a near flawless sharkskin case with eared C-hooks. Green baise lining with storage compartment lid.
Smooth operation with excellent optics, 2.5 cm. diameter. Case measures 14 x 7 x 5 cm. deep. Near perfect example. c.1780. Unsigned.
