Description

A flawless miniature unbranded compass, gilded rose gold with a highly decorative long neck and cased in shark skin.

Rarely used, this one inch diameter compass has NO faults. Unhallmarked by tests for at least 14K, possibly 18K gold. No doubt a prized possession of a lady but treasured as a keepsake. No issues as the eared C-hook and hinge are tight. No damages to the shark skin. Black velvet lined. No scratches on the compass dial. 16 cardinal points, chiselled steel pivot point and blued steel needle. Fleur-de-Lys for North. Magnetic North is positive. A tiny remnant of the Georgian era with it’s long neck and decorative/chiselled pivoting finger ring. No abrasions to the sides or back. English.
