Description

A signed and engraved fleam with an accompanying  fleam stick. Sanderson, a Scottish cutler, worked in the Dunse area between 1785 and 1820. The brass scales are  nicely engraved with a monogram. The blades of the fleam show staining but no rust or corrosion. Length of fleam: 8.5 cm. Length of stick: 20.5 cm.
