German brass Graphometer dated 1643, diameter 10″ (26 cm), an early example of a Holland Circle, signed “Franciscus Fiebig me fecit”, decorated with some floral patterns, compass diameter 2,5″ (6,5 cm), rosette made of brass, compass glass and needle seem to be later, otherwise overall condition good (not polished); Franciscus Fiebig (also Franziskus Viebig) worked in 1633 in Arnstadt (Germany) and 1647 in Haag (Germany); less than one dozen instruments are in museums collections.
