A well preserved rocker arm, gold Sovereign/half Sovereign balance in bright brass and with a tatty two part case- warranted correct with Victorian Crown. Instructions half legible but with simple operation. The coin is checked for weight, diameter and thickness using this effective pocket balance (quickly eliminates forgeries). Unsigned but rarely used. The card case shows little wear other than the label, unfortunately. c.1860. Scale and case measure 10 x 2 x 1.5 cm.
