Description
An Ivory Diptych dial, Spanish/Italian C 1600. This dial has simple geometrical decoration on the borders of its ivory leaves, but its compass card is finely painted in blue, green and red. A fleur-de-lis marks the north, and the needle is also finely made. Painted compass cards were typical of Spanish and Italian dials hence the attribution of this example. The rest of the decoration is very simple and geometrical.
Measuremens 6,5 x 7 x 2,2 cm and in perfect condition.
