A good, all round copy of John Harris’ “Plain and Spherical Trigonometry” c. 1706 ( 1st Edition) with original owner’s signature (J.Weekes) and a date of 1708. Additional chapters on Spherick Geometry and Projections of the Sphere in Plano. Although the leather spine has been taped and there are some knocks to the corners, the interior of the book is very good to excellent with NO loose pages (177 total) and 8 fold out plates. For use with surveying, navigation and general appreciation of ALL of the calculations concerning spheres, it is of octodecimo format (6 1/4 x 4 ” or 16 x 10.5 cm.). Frontispiece page missing but otherwise a complete copy. Many tables in the rear with handwritten corrections and annotations. In English.
