A large mahogany cased compass measuring 6″ overall, the dial 5″ in diameter, with jewelled needle and locking bar, compass points and the outer dial engraved in degrees from 0 to 360 with increments to 1 degree, the silvered dial engraved, ‘Dollond, London‘. The lid with riveted brass hinges complete with locking clasp. The corners of the case are finished with rounded corners; no cracks. Very nice condition.
