Description

Large brass semi-circular protractor of an unusual and rare form.

Dimension 20,4 x 11,3 cm and 25,4 cm for the index.

It is divided into 4 parts (0-45 °), it allows to trace parallel lines and carries the indication of four cardinal points in Italian (or wind direction), from left to right: P (Ponente-West), M (Maestro- NW), T (Tramontana-N) and G (Greco-NE).

This large protractor was certainly designed for cartographic purposes.

Very good condition, beautiful original patina, untouched.
