Description

Black enamelled and lacquered brass microscope by W. Watson & Sons Ltd with the large “H” stand Edinburgh Student’s model with both binocular and monocular body. The “H” stand is 11.5″ tall and the microscope stands 13.5″ tall racked down, numbered 46213. With thumb wheels to adjust eye width, focus, X-Y mechanical stage and substage.

There are graduated divisions to the stage, reading by verniers to 1/10 mm and the stage has a Sliding Bar. There is a graduated inner drawtube to the monocular. The fine focus wheel is sensitive to one-hundreth of a turn.

The microscope has a triple nose-piece, substage condenser / diaphragm and a plano / concave mirror.

Very clean and all in excellent working order. The lenses may need cleaning.

The case (19″ tall) holds three objectives: 2 mm Apochromatic, 2/3″ Para, 1/7″ Parachromatic, a few eyepieces and the graduated monocular tube. With lock & key.
