A 19th century brass telescope, signed on the back collar, ‘Coombes, Optician & Admiralty Agent, Devonport. They supplied the Royal Navy with essential equipment during the 1850s.
Length of telescope: 53″ ( 135 cms ) extended. Height 63.6″ ( 161 cms ). It has a main lens of 2.5″ ( 65 mm ) giving the telescope a magnification of 45x.
With spotting scope and astronomical eye-piece – the telescope gives a fine, sharp image and is in very nice condtion.
