A fine and rare form of botanical (flower) microscope with movable pin arm, three stacking lenses and an hollow X (cross-re-soldered) to facilitate movement in all X and Y, Z directions (axes). Wonderful turned bone handle and end knob for the forceps(some bluing still present), great optics, maroon card case with three feathers (Prince of Wales?). Unique and clever English design. Could find only one other on the internet of this form. Regency period in age. Case measures 4 x 1 x 1 inch ( 10 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm.).
