Description

Very rare engraving showing the anatomical cabinet, la “Chambre anatomique de Monsieur De Rasiere à Douai” published as frontispiece in 1727 of the booklet descriving his collection and entitle “Description du cabinet anatomique de Mr. Derasiere, Ecuyer, Sieur Desenclosses”.

This spectacular engraving represent the real anatomical room preserving skeletton, dry specimens of human body and organs, a impressive horse’s skeleton, an air pump and a very unusual Cuff-type microscope with special feature for looking at the blood circulation in living animals in a dark room.

The engaving comes with the booklet but incomplete of two leaves, disbound.
