Description
Isidor Schnabel (1842-1908), a student of Eduard Jaeger, held a number of chairs at European univerisies, the last being at Vienna, where he served from 1895-1908 . This, his 1885 model, is the second of two ophthalmosocpes that he introduced. The example on offer was made by “A. SCHWARZ WIEN”. All three mirrrors have issues but the scope is mechanically perfect — the handle appears to be rosewood
