Description

SOLD – A very nice mahogany barrelled marine telescope by ‘T. Harris & Son, London. Day or Night’, measuring 54 cm long when closed and 90 cm fully open. There are protective sliders to both ends and the objective is a 4 cm doublet. The telescope is damage free ( no dents, cracks, chips, knocks ) and retains its original lacquer. The fine rope knurling to the edges of the collars, eye piece and lens cover suggest a manufacture date of early 19th century. It is very clear to look through.
