Description

A small sized brass miner’s dial, the silvered dial signed, ‘R. Huntley, High Holborn, London’. The dial measures just under 4.5″ ( 21 cm ), with compass rose and degrees to the outside of the dial reading from 0 -90 -0 – 90 etc. The compass spins freely on the jewelled centre.

The two sighting vanes slide onto each end. There is a tripod attachment within the case to mount the compass dial to a tripod.
Contained in a mahogany case with tooled leather covering, the case measuring 8.5″ 5.75″ ( 21 x 14.5 cm ).
