A beautiful Surgery set in a Mahogany box made by instrument maker Gallo, second part 18th Century, Italy. This set was used by and made for a doctor in Italy. On the lid there is a brass plate with inscription: “Strumenti di Chirurgia per amputazione” with a monogram “VOJ”. Although this set is incomplete, it contains some very interesting pieces such as: Several Trepanning instruments, Dental instruments, Obstetric and gynecology instruments(forceps are missing), Very nice tourniquet signed by Gallo, Bullet forceps, A few trocars, Forceps, Bone forceps and an Anthropometer compass. Measurements 49 x 36 x 15 cm.
