The “NICE-NOSE” or “RECTIFICATEUR” offered a reasonably priced alternative to those for whom plastic surgery was out of the question because of cost or anxiety over outcome. By donning this device ,say before bedtime, and tightening the screws on the portions of the nose deemed in need of reshaping, the desired result could, at least in theory, be achieved. One could not ask for a better or more complete example than the one on offer. It appears never to have been used and it retains its original paperwork and box as well as the tightening wrench and additional screws.
