In the original leather sheath, ebony handled brass ferruled triple hollow ground edged spike and oval section pointed steel, possibly a sharpener or burnisher, marked THEWLIS GRIFFITH
High quality tool or instrument made by Thewlis & Griffith, of Warrington, England circa 1850
Length 11,1/4″ or 285mm.
Purpose unknown, possibly a veterinary instrument for treating pasture sheep bloat or an engineering tool.
