A Thomas Walker’s & Sons Cherub III Taffrail Ship’s log in unused condition.

In pine case with labels and instructions, numbered: AM 4248.

Log rotator vain marked: T.W. CHERUB 481.

1 Samples tin of solidified oil.

2 Rotators.

1 Hook.

Depth: 29 cm.

Height: 14.5 cm.

 

The Walker Cherub Taffrail log was designed so that the log did not have to be hauled in every time a reading was required, and patented on the 30th of October 1878.
