Description

SOLD – A fine circa 1800, three draw telescope with a Honduras flame mahogany barrel measuring 29.75″ frully open and 9.75″ closed. It has an objective lens of 1.5″ and gives an excellent clear image.

The telescope is identical to a Ramsden of the same period.

John Richardson (1790 – 1822) was an optician and not an instrument maker so quite possibly a Ramsden scope though signed as per title.
