Description

Two enigmatic maps by Adolf Henze divided into squares entitles “Zonenmesser”.

The plate A is “für des Deutsche Reich und Oesterreich-Ungarn” and the plate B, composed of two sheets, seems to be a theorical map shwing the principle of the Zonenmesser.

The plate A measures around 66×66 cm and the plate B is composed of two sheets measuring 47×99 cm.

The three leafs are printed on a thin calque paper.

If this plate are enigmatic was published in 1891 a booklet “Handbuch zu Henze’s Zonenmesser für das Deutsche Reich und Oesterreich-Ungarn : Verzeichniss sämmtlicher Postanstalten in Deutschland und Oesterreich-Ungarn mit Angabe der Taxquadrate”.

Some small tears otherwise, good condition.
