Description
Rare 32cm diameter example of a terrestrial globe edited in French by Abel Klinger in Nuremberg. Klinger globes of this size and on such a mount with a meridian semicircle are very rare.
Good general condition despite some marks of use and a scratch on the lower part of the globe where the meridian is screwed to the foot.
The globe is mounted in exotic turned wood and comes with its original compass, complete with its needle in working order .
Nice example of this very rare model of a terrestrial globe by Klinger in French.
