Of all the hundreds of wonderful objects that have appeared on Fleaglass this year, we have chosen just one that especially appeals to us.  Brought to us by Van Leest antiques, this ivory model of an eye was carved in Germany in the 17th Century, and is attributable to the master-carver Steven Zick.  Standing just 10 cm high, this fusion of art and anatomical study is as striking now as it must have been 350 years ago.
