Description

A seven draw brass telescope, the barrel covered with multi-colours of baleen.

Signed on the first draw, ‘Improved by G. Davis, Leeds’.

Measuring 39 cm when fully open and 9.7 cm closed, it has a main lens of 21 mm diameter.

Gabriel Davis worked from 1822 – 47 and was the Uncle of the famous instrument maker John Davis.
