Description
An excellent example of an early 19th century 4 draw telescope by Dollond, London, measuring 29 cm long when closed and 106 cm (41.5 inches) fully drawn with a 2 inch objective main lens. The barrel is finished in black lacquer and the collars, eye piece, lens cap etc retain all original lacquer.
The first draw has a four lens erecting system and is constructed in three segments.
All damage free and in remarkable original condition – a real collectors piece. Circa 1820.
