Description

A rare and impressive large model of the French horizontal/universal microscope by Secrétan so datable circa 1860.

The microscope is preserved with a large range of accessories including some polarizing accessories : several eyepieces, two objectives, a camera lucida, two prism for the polarization, two special objectives including in the polarization set, a round Oberheauser-type stage and the bull-eye.

The microscope is cosmetically and mechanically in fine condition and in good working condition.

The large model of the universal Chevalier-type microscope is rare.

This one is a rare example by Secretan with some very rare accessories.

Some parts of the box are missing especially the bottom of the main part in which the drawer can be stored and some of the part of the inner case are unglued/detached.

Finally, two screws are lacking in the Oberheauser-type stage but we can still use it.
