Description

A rare terrestrial or surveying quadrant with both telescopes used in horizontal plan. The instrument is signed “Dubois à Paris” so datable from the 1760s’.
The instrument is divided from 0 to 90 degrees.
It is mounted on its original stand. It incorporates several micrometric screws for fine adjustments. 
A rare portable and diminutive form for the surveying uses of the larger vertical astronomical quadrant.
Telescopes measures 21,5 cm length, 22,5cm width and 18cm height.
