An antique anatomical teaching model of the human eye, Germany, from the late 1800’s/early1900’s.

Great quality, hand painted plaster and papier mache with glass inner globe, crafted as an enlarged educational representation of the ocular globe. The model is mounted on a turned black wooden pedestal and designed with removable sections, allowing students and practitioners to examine the internal structures of the eye in detail.

The vividly hand-painted iris, rendered in shades of blue, gray, yellow, and red, demonstrates remarkable attention to anatomical accuracy and artistic execution. In overall very good condition, I can only notice the lack of the small disk in front of iris.
