An antique engraving from Micrographia Illustrata by George Adams published in 1771. The subject of the book is an explanation of the microscope and the natural history on animals. The illustration offered here is of a “fish -plate” or “frog-plate”, they were used in the early 18th century to enable microscopic examination of small blood vessels. The engraving will be shipped flat.
