A quite unusual brass French clinometer and/or graphometer with a double rotative balljoint.

The instrument is not signed, just bearing by ink, the name “graphometer” on the alidade so the instrument is French from the early 19th century.

The brass instrument can be used like a simple clinometer or like a graphometer.

Very craft construction.
