Description
A boxed set of antique glass prosthetic eyes, historically used as fitting samples by ophthalmologists or opticians for patients needing ocular prostheses. This set date from the late 19th to early 20th century when glass eyes were produced primarily in Germany and France, renowned for their superior glass blowing techniques before WWII, this set is most likely of German origin. The protheses in this set are all veined except for the two clear examples.
The case has a padded satin lined lid and a press sud closure and measures 17 x 17.3cm.
