Antique Nachet brass microscope, manufactured in France circa 1875, in excellent condition and good working order. This beautiful instrument is nearly 150 years old, yet it remains suitable for viewing samples and prepared slides. All its parts move smoothly, including the fine focusing system, allowing for maximum precision. The microscope is made entirely of brass and retains its original protective lacquer, as well as the beautiful patina it provides. The manufacturer’s signature and address in Paris are engraved in capital letters on the base: NACHET ET FILS, 17, rue St. Severin, Paris. It comes with a set of two objectives and two eyepieces; the original objectives are presented in brass pots that have been replaced. The set is presented in a simple, solid mahogany box.
